Welcome to JHUAN, where our mission is to empower Jamaican students at Howard University through scholarships, mentorship, and professional development. Since our inception in 2018, we have remained steadfast in our commitment:

“To serve the Jamaican student community at Howard University through Scholarships, Mentoring, and Career Development.”

Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our volunteers, partners, and donors, we have awarded over $463,000 in scholarships, supporting Jamaican students at Howard across undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.

Our support extends beyond financial assistance. We equip our scholars with essential life skills, networking opportunities, and personalized mentorship. From financial literacy workshops to one-on-one career guidance, JHUAN is dedicated to fostering holistic student development.

However, the need remains significant. Many Jamaican students at Howard University rely solely on merit-based scholarships, leaving numerous deserving students without the support they need. Last year, we were able to assist only 20 students, despite the greater demand.
